Sometimes writing replies take long while others are more instant, Usually this depends on the person, but most of the time, if it's taking a while, I'm either still trying to think or I am rereading my reply over and over and possibly modifying it. Oberon Sol is an oc/self-insert. Mostly an OC but I also portray bits of myself into his character as a whole. This was probably obvious enough seeing as that we share the same name.

Oberon Sol also takes a lot of inspiration from Goro Akechi and Persona 5 (Royal) as a whole. He doesn't have a "persona" like in the games, however people's perception of him can change who and what he is. Think of it like how Sparkle can appear as someone else.

personality An enigma, of sorts. to some, oberon can be one's ally while to others an enemy. don't expect him to stay that way for long though, as he may switch sides unexpectedly whether in your view or not. his true personality is unknown to many, but with the way he portrays himself, he can be seen as a selfish, arrogant, and generally unfriendly person. Almost unapproachable even. to a selected few, whether they are individuals or a group, only they know what kind of oberon really is, and only they know his true goals.

As a galaxy ranger, Oberon prioritizes the safety of the innocent and victims of his target. Before he does anything to the person he's after, he makes sure they are safe first as his plans will often pose as a danger to everyone in the area. He believes that the less the know, the safer they'll be, so he tries to make their meetings quick and makes sure they know they're safe and that they'll be okay. Once all is said and done, he will resume his plan to take down his target without worry.

cognitive manipulation - the unspoken wish thus granted Due to a special ability, one where even Oberon is unsure of its origins, Oberon is capable of appearing as a completely different person. He is unsure if it is his own wish to become that person, or if it is due to being convincing enough to "be" that person. A person he often assumes to be are people he knows well enough. Sometimes, he appears as a woman who is eerily similar to his mother, but he calls himself "Ophelia Andromeda." A woman who works as an information broker. She is an energetic woman who is more than happy to provide her services, and often likes to indulge herself with her earnings. to others, she has a frequent client who is a Galaxy Ranger, however this is simply one of the many ways for Oberon to get into special events when a person of interest (like his bounty) is currently located in.

A couple Amber Eras ago, a Seed of Destruction was planted on a distant, isolated planet. War nearly destroyed their world, making most places completely unable to hold life even in a few centuries. In the midst of the apocalypse, a wish was granted by those who wished to survive the ongoing war and to enact vengeance against those who nearly destroyed their home with it.The Stellaron granted them indestructible bodies. Their flesh, blood, and bones became their weapons and death became a door that may never open to them. Even after years when the war finally subsided, a great hunt would soon emerge that called for the "extermination" of all those affected by the Wish. Essentially, it was a movement meant to gather all of them and try to use their bodies as nothing more than weapons.Those captured had made numerous attempts to resist, escape, and maybe even try to kill themselves. Some found temporary freedom in agreeing to help hunt down their friends and families, hoping that once it was done, they'd be let go.In a state of panic, a woman tried to absorb the Stellaron in order to protect it when the hunters tried to somehow harm the Stellaron. This would then lead to the Stellaron going out of control, overwhelming her almost in an instant. Because of her indestructible body, however, she was able to return but was heavily corrupted by the Stellaron’s Fragmentum. The Fragmentum gradually spread throughout the planet, corrupting even the ones affected by the Wish.Her influence spread amongst everyone within the vicinity, linking all of those affected to her. For a moment, they were all considered one entity as she placed seeds within each and every one of them. A new wish was granted.As one last attempt to finally give their world some peace, even for a moment, a group managed to construct a prison to seal the Stellaron. Some recovered from the Fragmentum thanks to the Wish, but others weren’t as lucky and had to be sealed away like the Stellaron.The crisis was over for now, and some decided to try and better understand just what changed in their bodies, sharing the information with others like them so that they too are aware of this. Sharing the limits and the full capabilities, and maybe to even one day find a way to finally open death's door. One most notable change is their heart. It no longer beats, but instead hums.Many decided to leave the planet at this point, wanting to be as far away from the Stellaron as possible in hopes that if it ever reemerges that it’d never be able to reach them. One of these people was a young woman who soon encountered a lone foxian who was quite far from his home. Initially, she only intended to hitch a ride from him in order to keep running, but watching and listening to the foxian of his ventures, of Trailblazing, opened her eyes to a brand new world. Her love for the endless starry sky was ignited as she began to dream of exploring and understanding them all.She had settled in with the foxian on the Xianzhou Luofu when both had found out she was expecting a child. Born carrying the Wish of their ancestors granted by the Stellaron, but also a chance to live just like any child would. Unlike her own childhood, her child would be born in a world that didn’t wish for his downfall. At least, she had truly hoped so.He was a boy born full with dreams. Dreams that reached beyond the Xianzhou Fleet, beyond the hunt. He wanted to reach out and touch the stars, boarding the Astral Express and understanding the worlds that lay beyond the "sky". He wished to Trailblaze.For as long as Oberon knew, he was born from a foxian and a "human," and thus lacked the physical features of a foxian. He's lived on the Luofu with his parents and only ever knowing of their travels beyond this world from journals his mother kept of each world they’ve been to. From there, he learns of The Trailblaze and dreams of seeing worlds much like the ones they’ve seen. Maybe even so much more. He dreams that one day, he will find the astral express and travel along with them.As the years went by, that sinking feeling of not belonging, of being an outsider, began to weigh heavily on his shoulders. Not having the features of a foxian didn't bother him, at least not as much as the fact he never felt human either. No matter what was said to him, no matter what his mother had told him, nothing truly convinced him of ever belonging in this world.And he would be right to think that way. He learned very quickly that death is an old friend, one that he'd be meeting more than once in his future. His mother was no Xianzhou Native, she was neither a Denizen of Abundance, but the fact remains that their bodies were altered in a way that was near impossible to deny that YAOSHI, THE ABUNDANCE was involved somewhere, sometime in his mother's family. They'd be titled abominations, and perhaps later in their lives, they'd be mara-struck.It didn't take long for the world to seem grey.And in his heart, he whispered a wish, and something in his heart responded. His wish was granted, but not without a cost.He will never truly find himself.One day, his mother would unexpectedly take him and leave the Luofu. The reasoning behind this was unclear even to his father who she claimed to have already spoken to about, and he didn't have much of a say in this sudden decision. When he did finally ask his mother directly, she told him, "we are going home." The tremble in her voice did not go unnoticed.They never reached "home" in the end. Instead, they had to pause their trip due to an issue, and spent a little while on a distant planet they later learned called "Aeragan-Epharshel." In their short time there, he would meet a boy his age. For his brief, yet unforgettable time in this new world, his colorless world suddenly felt colorful."death is the fairest form of grace." That is what the boy told him, and as he lay beside him in the grass field, he felt like he could really just die right here. He thought he wouldn't mind dying in a place like this.It was this world that truly ignited his passion to Trailblaze, and his mother realized this. She abandoned her original plan, and even when the issue was finally solved, she opted to stay a little longer so that he could smile. Just a little bit longer, she'd tell herself. Her own light faded a very, very long time ago, and she will not let his fade just yet.On the final day, before they would leave to return to the Xianzhou Luofu, she would tell him more about the Trailblaze in hopes that he will venture out and see so many other worlds. Hoping that this would keep his light burning bright. In return, he promised her that he would come back, ready to tell her and his father of all the worlds he's been to.And she was right. The stars beyond were in his grasp.I am a Nameless. Boarded on the Astral Express alongside its crew, he embarked on a journey his mother and father had always dreamed of. “Mr. Yang oddly reminds me of my father. I'm not quite sure what it is about him, but even then, I still found myself turning towards him for guidance. Huh, maybe that's why actually, but I guess that's really just what any good dad would do.”

“Actually, he and I didn't really speak much when I was aboard the express at the time. We both just kind of did our own thing, and yet strangely, we were somewhat still drawn to each other. It's like people who pass each other down on the side walk more than enough times that you start wondering if you'll see them again next time. I think we just thought we were good company to be around, quietly. Now, I think I noticed a change in him. He seems… how should I put it? Relaxed and more at ease? Mm, no matter. It's none of my business.”

 Talent 

 shattered identity  Upon receiving a fatal hit, Oberon will enter Death Defied. In this state, Oberon cannot die and his break damage increases. Any weakness broken enemies will also receive Super Break damage. Once Death Defied’s duration ends, Oberon will be unable to battle. However, if Oberon takes down at least one enemy, he’ll be able to continue fighting.

 Technique 

 let the hunt begin  Oberon enters an enhanced state that increases his speed for a short duration. Attacking an enemy in this state will instantly start battle and cause all enemies to become weakness broken. blood drawn steel will also be instantly activated once the battle starts.

 Basic Attack 

 Release your burdens  Deals basic physical damage to a singular enemy.

 Skill 

 blood drawn steel  Upon activation, Oberon depletes a portion of his max health to create a weapon. This enhances Oberon’s basic attack for 5 turns as well as taunts all enemies currently on the field. While blood drawn steel is active, weakness breaks from either him or an ally trigger a follow up attack from Oberon that deals increased break damage.

 Ultimate 

 The final death  Ultimate can only he activated if Oberon has lost a certain amount of health.Upon activation, Oberon will immediately enter an enhanced version of Death Defied and immediately activate blood drawn steel. His attacks can now reduce toughness regardless of what weaknesses enemies have and Oberon's follow-up attack deals increased super break damage while in this state. The Final Death has a fixed speed and its duration will be shown in the turn order.

Both action advances grants both Oberon and the ally an increase in break damage + ignoring enemy def%. This effect ends after Oberon’s turn and refreshes after his next turn.

Childhood Friend

The boy he met on the distant planet he and his mother had accidentally stumbled into. It was Boothill and his home world that ignited Oberon's passion to Trailblaze and essentially the one that really opened his eyes, allowing him, for the first time, "to see color" in the universe. Oberon was also there when the IPC had destroyed his home, dying not once, but twice as he had been caught in the fire and was later "killed" again after he had already killed handfuls of IPC members that were there. He never forgave himself for not being able to save that little girl, but it didn't take too long for him to realize he failed to save his friend as well, driving him further and further into his self-loathing.

Oberon treats Rappa almost as if she was his daughter. Often teases her, but ultimately means well. He often acknowledges her strength and her wits, knowing that she can handle a lot of things herself, but if she needs assistance, then he knows it's serious.

 Ashveil 

Not quite enemies

On Planarcadia, the Phantom Thief "Luna Vulpes" is rather well known due to a handful of his heists taking place there. He makes a grand entrance, and before anyone could catch him, he'd disappear at the very last moment. Ashveil would be given the job to investigate, and did manage to predict his next heist. Despite their preparations beforehand, the Luna Vulpes still managed to slip away but not without directly speaking to Ashveil before disappearing again. He openly admits that he's been waiting for the Ashen detective, and welcomes him to his "grand performance." But the Luna Vulpes is already well aware of Ashveil's capabilities, and who is actually under the mask of "Ashen Detective." He just prefers to play along to keep their cat and mouse facade going.

 Himeko 

Familial (open for discussion)

Although Oberon's time on the astral express was short, it was still long enough for him to form a bond. Himeko often reminded him of his mother, so perhaps that's why. He never seemed to get used to the navigator's coffee, however, which resulted in him almost never touching coffee again.

 Sampo

One of Oberon's bounties had fled to Jarilo-VI, and Oberon already didn't like the Masked Fools. Sampo would be the reason why his bounty escaped his grasp, thus gaining a "bounty" on his head. The chase itself soon became a form of entertainment for Oberon as he claims many of his bounties don't offer a good chase, but perhaps it is also a reminder to Sampo that death is never too far away. Oberon's very presence would be a reminder that "death" is always chasing him. Though, Oberon wouldn't be seeking him out for mere entertainment at a certain point.

 Welt Yang 

Familial (open for discussion)

Oberon somewhat compares Welt to his father as well as looking up to him. Welt, in turn, also seems to be looking out for Oberon because of his unique ability with his blood, often trying to make sure Oberon isn't using too much and is rather quick to his aid at the first sign of him reaching his limit. He is also currently holding Oberon's old camera and journals for safe keeping.

 March 7th 

Open for discussion

The two share interest in capturing moments in photos and journals, sometimes even suggesting they have a "photo competition" to see who takes better photos. Recently, however, Oberon had challenged March 7th in a treasure hunt where she must find his old journals and cameras that is somewhere hidden on the Astral Express. If she finds it, then he'll tell her all about those worlds.

While not particularly close when Oberon was aboard the express at the time, the two still shared mutual respect for each other. Now that they see each other now, Oberon can't help but fight the urge to ask for a duel. He simply wants to see and feel just how much he's improved since their last meet.

 Trailblazer 

Strictly Sibling Like

The Stellaron stirs. It senses another. For once, it pays attention. It listens. It watches how it's host and the other's host interact. It was like they had always known each other, they had connected so easily. But it is disgusted. It wasn't because the Trailblazer wasn't like it's own host, but rather because the Stellaron often speaks for them. It wishes it would stop, it would resonate in response, and it would cut off it's hold on them. "Let them be," it would tell the other star. And then, it would watch silently, making sure it doesn't interfere.note!!!: this is a little headcanon/au focused, i apologize. i think it's just a cool thought that the player could the stellaron the trailblazer has.

A rising actor who goes under the name "Orion." A mysterious one at that, but his rise to fame came with his performance in a movie where he played as the main character. "Hunt without reason." A tragic story of a galactic vigilante hunting down the ones who destroyed his dreams, and he didn't care who he had to kill or how long it took to find the one behind it all."Orion" is known to be a very caring person on set, often treating those working with him to lunch when it was break time. Even when they are not shooting the next scene, he never stopped acting. "Orion" himself was a character, and the one named Oberon was the real actor.

 verse 2: Pokemon 

A Pokemon Ranger only accompanied by one Pokemon officially, and one unofficially. The Hisuian Zoroark that assists him was a peculiar find in his childhood, and ever since they were a Zorua, they’ve lived under the comfort Oberon and his home. Although the Zorua only ever stayed close to Oberon.After his mother’s passing, her Gardevoir who has known Oberon since he was a baby accompanies him on his travels as a Pokemon Ranger. They hold their old pokeball in hopes he one day picks it up. Until then, they will fight side by side as one.

 verse 3: ZZZ Expy 

On surface level, Oberon is a fox thiren who recently took over his mother's floral business after she disappeared in a hollow. His customers often describe him as naturally charming and a gentleman. Sometimes, he encourages other to try growing their own flowers as well as offering tips and possible starting options.Below the surface, Oberon is a member of Mockingbird. His main goal is to unveil the truth of his mother's "disappearance" as not some simple accident within a hollow, but rather a planned murder. He dons a mask and pulls off heists in a rather flashy manner, proudly announcing that he will steal his targets' treasures and desires, that the world will know their true self. In the end, this is all a means to attract the ones responsible for his mother's death. Once they are aware he is a threat, he swears he will tear them down from their throne and confess all that they have done.
